About JOEL COLVIN.... "Put My Experience To Work For You!" I was born and raised in Ruston, LA in a family very involved in the real estate industry, with both parents, James R. Colvin, Sr. and Johnnie F. Loyd Colvin, having been real estate brokers, homebuilders and developers and I followed in their footsteps and earned my real estate sales license at the ripe age of 18! My parents both earned the coveted status of REALTOR® Emeritus, each with over 40 years in the business, so there are likely few in the Northeast Louisiana area with more real life experience in the industry than myself. I received my real estate broker's license in 1994. I have managed over 4,000 real estate transactions, averaging around 300 transactions per year as a managing broker, as well as personally listing and selling hundreds of residential and commercial properties throughout Northeast Louisiana. I have excellent communication and technical skills with over 25+ years experience representing buyers and sellers in all types of transactions. I am very involved in the REALTOR® Organization/community and have served as past president of the Ruston Board of REALTORS®. I presently serve on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Louisiana Association of REALTORS® throughout the years, where I currently serve on the MLS committee chairman. I have zoning experience as an Ex-Officio member of Ruston Planning and Zoning Commission, along with past experience working as a Commercial Zoning Specialist for Faulk & Foster, Inc. representing commercial real estate clients and almost every national wireless communications carrier across the southern United States. I am also a Lincoln Parish, Louisiana Notary Public with authority in Bienville, Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Union and West Carroll Parishes. I took my oath on January 12th, of 1990 and I was commissioned on January 22nd, of 1990. My service area is the Ruston Market and the Monroe-West Monroe Market, as well as the surrounding Cities and Parishes in the Northeast Louisiana Region!
